After reading reviews on how good this place was, I had been looking forward to going for the past month, and we finally went today. At first everything seemed good, the staff friendly enough. We got the food, and it was pretty good, but could have used more flavor in the tzatziki (not enough garlic). The pitas were too soft, making the tzatziki soak through pretty quickly. (We make Greek all the time from scratch at home.) I wouldn't have said these things in my reivew, and I would have left one more star, had we not had this experience at the end: on our way out, we ordered some brownies and baklava to go, since the kids wanted dessert. The brownies and baklava were sitting right there, in plain sight. She said "I'll get that right out to you.", and we proceeded to wait for over 10 minutes. She helped a few other groups before getting our desserts, and some of these people came in after us! We expected an apology for the wait but that did not come, and the desserts weren't worth the wait at all (and expensive for brownies, anyway!) Overall, it was a big letdown after noticing such high reviews. Also, the service was SO slow that the word "Express" should be taken out of their name.... especially if you want a brownie.

I was surprised, but this place was actually really really good. I got the falafel and it was one of the best i've ever had anywhere, it was very fresh tasting and the falafel balls were homemade which was great. The atmosphere inside was nice it didn't feel like you were exactly in a strip mall in Utah. I will be coming back next time i'm in St. George!

Love this place. The quality of their ingredients is phenomenal. The meat is tasty and tender, and their veggies are fresh and crisp. They have good portions, and the prices are reasonable. The menu is diverse enough that there is something for everybody. I recommend the beef kabob pita.

We are in town on vacation and have found it difficult to find healthy food for lunch. The hubs had a falafel pita and I got the veggie pita. Both were outstanding - fresh ingredients, good size portions and a clean environment.

There Gyros were very disappointing. I tried them twice to make sure and both times I could not finish them. They have there own way of doing them. I guess that is alright...but if you are looking for a traditional kick butt Gyros, do not go here. I can't speak for the rest of there foods - they may very well be great! The crew and restaurant were really nice!

The falafel was amazing. Service was lacking but fast. Fries were good as well but definitely not enough.

I love Mad Pita. But today, not so much. The young lady at the register today was possibly the snottiest individual I've ever encountered. She did not seem to want to take our order, offered no help, and seem very put out that she had to wait on us at all. I don't like getting personal with restaurant reviews, but her behavior specifically has soured me on the entire restaurant. Today's food was also not the best. It was okay, but usually is much better. Next time I come, if I see the same young lady at the register, I think I'll leave and try to come back when she isn't working. Ugh.

Gross gyro, delicious citrus salad! My favorite was the French fries! The worst part was there was no where to sit on a busy Friday night.

    (3)
  • Breanna O.

They offer a freaking 25% military discount, so that's really cool of them. Their fish gyro is yumm-ay. Not much of an atmosphere, but it's a good place to grab lunch or something light before a movie perhaps.

  • Karin B.

The food was very good, price ok, but the staff was super unfriendly. It looks as we (customers) were disturbing them. Not a hello when we arrived, not a good night when we left.

    (3)
  • Jesse C.

My fiancé and I come here every couple of weeks because the food is good(when they get the order right!) and this time they seemed to have fired all of their good employees because the young lady that helped us had no customer service skills! They screw up the order, incorrectly charge me for my order(my coupon was supposed to give me a free drink)and then when I kindly ask them to redo the order because it is wrong, this bratty girl rolls her eyes and argues with me about it! Worst f***ing restaraunt in southern Utah and I am never going back! Holy freaking crap what rude ass people!

Okay, wait a sec! Hold the phone! Batton down the hatches!! Excellent Lebanese food in St George!?!?!? The land of chain steak houses and fast food!?!? Seriously, I highly recommend this place! Don't miss the Isreali felafel. Great vibe too: more downtown Tel Aviv than Utah's Dixie.

  • Susan M.

A bit disappointed as I expected a lot more after the reviews I read. I had the spicy chicken plate. Chicken was great! The hummus and tahziki sauce were very bland. The Greek salad had what they called "Greek dressing" which didn't taste like any other Greek dressing I've had. It was sweet. Not bad tasting but definitely not Greek dressing. Since this is the only Greek place in town I may visit again and just order a chicken pita.

This place is pretty good. It was its days where its really good and others where its meh, with the limited greek food around this is one of the best.

Let me start by saying that the food is really good and the front counter staff are great. What they struggle with is the experience. The last time I came in my lunch was $13 for a plate with side salad. I had my boys go up and ask for a little more hummus because the 2 Tbl. they give you with your meal isn't enough to enjoy with your pitas. My boys came back and said I had to pay an additional 50 cents for hummus. It felt like they were nickel and dime-ing you. They have signs all over the restaurant that say "no outside food", "tables inside are for paying guests", "our olives have pits", "if your kids break it, we put a sold sign on it". I've never met the owners but with all of the negative signs in the restaurant, it feels like the owners are super grumpy and have forgotten that it's the "little" things that can make a business GREAT or just ok.

This place was decent. Being from the Metro Detroit area and knowing some phenomenal Greek and Middle Eastern Food it makes it hard to compare. But, for a small place in St George it wasn't bad. We shared a Gyro and a cup of egg lemon soup. The soup was great. Never had it with egg but, it was good. The gyro was decent and big and had good flavor. The toppings were great. Wouldn't call it legit ME/Greek food but, it was good enough for where we were. I would come back again if I found myself in St George and wanting something Greek for lunch or dinner.

I'm happy to know of a place where I can eat in St. George while driving through that has vegetarian and gluten free options. I love falafel and have had tasty falafel all over the country. Here at Mad Pita, they do not use wheat in their falafel and they have a gluten free "pita" option, which was nice, but not really. The falafel was good, but not stellar. The GF pita was a waste of money- it's more like a tortilla that just soaks up grease, and doesn't resemble a pita at all. I would have been happier getting my falafel on rice, but that wasn't a menu option (I probably could have asked for it, but I was excited to get a "pita"). I also got veggie grape leaves, and they were yummy. In sum, I will return because this place is one of the only options in St. G that I can eat, and convenient off the freeway, but it's not the best I've had.

My wife and I just came in town and needed something tasty and somewhat healthy food. Wow. Great food and quick. I had the veggie pita meal and she had the steak sirloin Kabob pita meal. Excellent!

  • Steve M.

Great place! Perfect if you're looking for a quick healthy lunch. I got a side Greek salad and the double meat gyro. So good and fresh. You can tell everything is made on site using fresh ingredients. The baklava is amazing! Wish there was one in Ohio.

Our favorite place to eat when we visit St George. Awesome! food. Pleasant atmosphere.

I'm sure the first thing on your mind is, "is this place like Mad Greek, from Vegas?" No, no its not. It's BETTER!!!! In all of Southern Utah, this has got to be the best place I had eaten. The place is clean, and the service was very nice. The food was deliciously flavorful. I ordered the gyro plate and enjoyed everything on my plate, from the gyro to the salad and the humus. It was very refreshing to find a place here in St. George that took pride in their food. The only thing I don't like is that they use styrofoam cups. But I noticed that recycling is not big in this town. Last time I came here, I walked out forgetting my sunglasses. I ran back in, the table was already cleaned. The server had my sunglasses sitting on the counter. I was very relieved. I will definitely be returning to Mad Pita again.

Great Greek food. The Greek salad is very good. Recommend adding gyro meat or chicken kabob. The gyros are great, but go with the salad and meat for low carb!

    (5)
  • Terry D.

Gluten free pita. However, pretty hard and dry. The other food is good. I guess for St George, this is as good as it gets.

My friends and I stopped by here on our way to Zion National Park. My fiancé and I got the falafel, gyro and fries. Our food took a little bit while to come out but when it did, it was hot and fresh. Both the falafel and gyro were really good, I also added feta cheese on the gyro. The fries had Parmesan cheese on them & had good flavor. Overall we were happy with our food and experience. When we go back to Utah, we'll definitely have to stop by here again.

When we walked in an employee was on her phone sitting on the counter. Didn't get off the whole time we were there. And the drinks are over priced.

  • Michelle B.

Love this place! Getting my Greek fix. The employees are so warm and friendly and personable. They have an option of gluten free pita bread which is very good for those of us that may need that. The spicy chicken or regular chicken pita platter is the way to go! So flavorful! Love the rice and greek salad also. Lots of variations like putting the chicken on a salad if you aren't hungry enough for the platter. Very filling and satisfying. All their food is a great value.

  • Janie A.

My husband and I were passing by and found this as a quick stop to eat. Let me just say as we drive back we wouldn't mind coming back! The orange salad was awesome.

    (5)
  • Jennifer C.

The Mediterranean fries were amazing. The Chicken breast platter was alright. The rice and hummus didn't have enough flavor. It needs more seasoning or garlic.

  • Robin M.

This place is delicious! I tried the fiery chicken pita. The sauce is really good and it's not too spicy. The fries are really good too.

We have been on the road from NC for over a week now & trying to only eat at local places along the way. From the Grand Canyon to Zion on our way to Vegas & we were so hungry having only a small breakfast all day. When I asked my daughter to pull up yelp & search salad for St George, this place came up. She read some reviews and said, "that's the place". We are vegetarian & ordered the veggie pitas in various ways. Soooo delish, quick & fresh tasting. We like casual places because we are traveling with our dog, mad pita has outdoor tables so it was perfect for us. The people here are super friendly, when our food was delivered she offered to bring our dog a bowl of water. If I hadn't been pigging out all the way across America I would have tried one of the homemade desserts, they looked tasty & legit. You should eat here now.

  • Ben S.

Had the 'big fat' gyro... Definitely a fan. It came with fries and a drink. The fries were excellent; super hot and had some sort of spice on them that was great. The gyro, while a bit messy, wast tasty. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

    (4)
  • Anthony N.

This place is ok. I've tried it two times to be fair and both times I could only generously give it 3 stars. I would probably not go back. Both times I was not satisfied by either one of my choices. There are not a lot of Greek choices in southern Utah so that's what you get.

    (3)
  • Jennifer P.

Love the fiery chicken and beef kabobs. I don't typically cook Mediterranean cuisine, so it's always a treat to eat it out, and Mad Pita always delivers with a home run on excellent taste!! I love that it's right by the theaters, we usually will stop in for a salad and split it, because they're HUGE, after we catch a flick. Sometimes, however, I would love a little bit faster service, especially when they aren't busy. Other than that, and overall lovely place to grab delicious food!!!

    (4)
  • Jim O.

Decent enough gyro. I prefer them to come with a little more meat and for the meat to have a light char. The pita itself was very moist, but it could be better if it was grilled lightly prior to serving.

  • Redrocker B.

The place is clean, the food is fresh, the employees are helpful. Will be our new lunch place when we are in town.

  • Christiane T.

We are huge fans of the Mad Pita. The owner John makes you feel welcome as well as the staff. The Falafel are unbelievably tasty. It's tough to get good vegetarian food in St. George and the Mad Pita always leaves us happy. We love that it's a local business in a sea of lame franchises.

  • Boyd Z.

This is a great place. Gyros and pitas are all very good. We have eaten there several times and will continue.

  • Courtney A.

If you are needing to change any food item (adding or removing certain toppings) don't come here!!! The first time they messed up the order, which was a PLAIN gyro, asking specifically for just the meat they messed up! I know mistakes happen so we tried again a few weeks later, same problem! It's one thing to send the gyro back but I take it to go and get home and see my order all wrong. Even though I spoke very slow and clear for the cashier. Clearly the staff isn't trained well and they always seem unprofessional. Seriously, how hard it to to NOT put things on a gyro? I called and told them the problem and they didn't seem to care. Guess that's what you get for having teenagers run the joint.

  • Tina F.

Pretty darn good. Relatively well flavored w/out being over-cooked. The sides and salads are wonderful. The baklava is a bit bland (sadly). But their staff is friendly and quick. Honestly, the best Mediterranean food one can find in St George.

    (4)
  • Marla F.

This place was a good choice on my behalf. The food was tasty without leaving you feeling like a sloth. We tried the beef/lamb gyro and the spicy chicken one. Of the two, we agreed the spicy chicken one was better. Meat was juicy and it had some great fresh veggies on top. I wish this place had an amazing spicy sauce. In fact, I wish every place had an amazing spicy sauce. Maybe they'll work on getting that ;-) Fries were nothing special. Easy to find parking. Friendly service. Clean tinkle room!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before now, however, this place is my #1 choice for lunch in St. George and I have eaten here about once a week for at least a year. Super-fresh, unique flavors, nice dining room, great staff and always a happy tummy when I leave! There is nothing else like this in St. George. I get: Fiery Chicken. Either on the Greek Town Salad or as a Fiery Chicken Gyro (lined with a perfectly-garlicked skordalia). If I'm feeling really hungry and need both salad and pita, I get the Fiery Chicken Platter which comes with rice topped by chicken, a salad, a pita, and a dollop hummus. The hummus here is amazing. I can't make hummus this good at home (I've tried). Sometimes I have to go back and order an extra plate of hummus. Ohmmm. Husband gets: Philly Cheesesteak Gyro. It's gyro meat with the normal philly toppings of sautéed peppers and onions. Not real greek-y but really really good. His second choice is the Big Fat Gyro. Deliciously fresh tzatziki. The staff is wonderful. I always bring my twin girls in with me for cheese pitas and the staff is always willing to substitute mandarin oranges in for the chocolate pudding that I'd rather my girls not have. The only thing I am sad about is that Mad Pita decided to go off of the Starving Student card. It was a great opportunity for the business to get new customers to try something that they may not normally try. We are solid customers. Keep up the great work Mad Pita!

Mad Pita Express is my favorite restaurant in Southern Utah. I have had an array of menu items but my favorites are the classic Gyro's and the Greek Town Salad with a skewer of Chicken on the side. Their Baklava is awesome. The fries are great. They have a unique seasoning on them and come with their own version of "fry sauce". The service is great. Sometimes a little slower than other times but it is totally worth the wait for the level of excellence in the food. My family loves the Fiery Chicken anything, and Hummus and Pita Bread. I am still waiting for Basila to make her famous Tiramisu. The best I've ever had. Love the atmosphere, and the Greek time line on the wall.

  • Regina F.

This is the BEST place!! They support our military! Everyone is incredibly friendly and the food is unimaginably decadent!!! Just WOW! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the spicy chicken pita combo with fries (I added feta). Seriously the pita's, fries and fountain soda's are all unbelievable (cleanest, freshest soda)!! Also they give a 10% discount to military!!! Don't miss your opportunity to experience this place in its entirety!!!!

  • Rachel Z.

I had the Big Fat Gyro and it did not disappoint! In an area with nearly every fast food choice available for a quick lunch stop, this place provided charm and a loaded gyro at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our stop through town just after Zion National Park.

    (4)
  • Kimbo B.

Yum! Fast, cheap and delicious. Gyros with feta were fantastic. Got the rice bowl with fiery chicken which was nice but maybe should have ordered something else - too much rice. Quick and healthier than other fast food chains around.

    (3)
  • Zachary W.

I have definitely had better gyros before. The lamb and the pita bread were good, but my favorite part about gyros is the tzatziki sauce and feta, but here they had the worst tzatziki sauce I have ever had, and they make you pay 75 cents for the feta cheese and then barely put any on... So it wasn't the worst experience ever but I will not be eating there again.

    (2)
  • Clarissa M.

Eh. Neither bad nor good. The food was okay. I had the meatball pita. Meatballs were okay but the homemade sauce is pretty good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. The plants around the restaurant is an excellent idea.

Terrible service. Waited for over an hour to get our food. Granted, it was a Friday night, but it's still no excuse.

Nothing like a fresh chicken pita and some Baklava to break up my road trip from Lake Powell to San Diego. It's ALWAYS fresh and light feeling with nice, large portions. Hard to find that nowadays! Other bonuses: Super friendly staff with genuine So. Utah hospitality Super clean bathrooms Super easy to park, even with a big truck and boat trailer!

Saw the sign for Mad Pita Express while traveling southbound on the 15. Did not know really what to expect as we made our way to the restaurant. While standing there looking at the menu on the wall, I was overwhelmed by the selections. The girl behind the counter was of no help. After staring I began to get that feeling of tightness in my chest due to not being able to make an informed decision. My GF pulled a take out menu from the counter which offered a more detailed explanation of menu. I settled on the lamb gyro with extra meat and feta cheese. The gyro came with fries with some sort of dipping sauce. In addition, I also ordered up some Skordalia. It's a Greek potato and garlic dip. Never had it and thought I would try something new. We sat down and waited for the order. Our table was located right under an open window to kitchen. As I waited for our meal, I kept myself entertained by listening to cooks and who ever else was back there talk loudly about a variety of subjects. The meal arrived and I found the gyros to be average. The Skordalia was another story. I could not even get my cold pita bread to penetrate it's potato salad like consistency. Lessons learned...

Mad Pita is sooooo good. The food is super fresh and the place is CLEAN. I love when you can see right into a kitchen and watch the food being prepared. I had the Gorgonzola salad with spicy chicken. It was HUGE and it was so good, I could not stop. As an added treat, I was there sitting under the photo of a military veteran standing next to his fighter plan, as the same man was sitting across the restaurant from me. John, one of the owners was nice enough to give me a little history lesson while I was there. Great food, great experience. OH! Best. Fries. Ever....

We drive through St. George quite a bit on the way to Utah's fabulous outdoors destinations and I feel like there are not a lot of options for healthy eating. If you don't feel like eating huge portions of meat and potatoes, this is a great option. You should not expect authentic Greek food from employees that have thick accents here, but you get plenty of fresh veggies and great flavor. The service is fast and courteous. We had the Gyro plate, which was very good.

    (4)
  • Matthew K.

The two items we loved were the spicy chicken gyro and the Mediterranean fries. We also tried one of the traditional gyros and it was good, but just OK when compared to the spicy chicken gyro. Flavor was at a maximum. Also, the fries were fine by themselves but when combined with the sauce they were great.

Just didn't deliver the taste, I was hoping for. We have been to Greece and doing so has set the bar quite high, leaving us on a continued search for really good Greek food here in St George.

When you're tooling down the interstate on vacation, or as in our case, on tour as musicians, it's hard to eat well, as in tasty and healthy, and stay on budget too. And in St. George Utah, our expectations were modest. That said, Mad Pita Express is a roadside gem that far exceeded our expectations - it really is a gourmet restaurant disguised as a fast food place. Everything we tasted demonstrated a clear attention to detail. We both had the fiery chicken sandwich - flavorful but not overly hot, on a delicious Lebanese bread that was fresh and delicious. In a strange role reversal, I got the salad and my wife got the fries - both were best of show. Salad was small but complex with feta, tomato, beets, onions - a bistro quality salad for sure. To top off our meal we shared the orange zest rice pudding which was truly sublime undoubtedly the best rice pudding I've ever had and would not be out of place in a 5-star restaurant. I need more. My greatest regret is it will be at least a year before I get back to St. George, but when I do, I am sure to visit Mad Pita Express.

Pretty dirty. I asked them to wear gloves, they were rude about it. They were making someone else's food, and I mentioned the gloves and they said, "This isn't your food." They took sooooo long. I don't care if the food is good or not. They were totally unsanitary. Answer the phone, put in an order, handle food. DIRTY!

It has been one year since we've been to St George and we thought we'd give the Mad Pita Express another try it is just as yummy as we remembered it! Don't eat there without trying the French fries.

We were SO happy when we walked in this restaurant and quickly realized by the décor and the quality of the food that the former owners of our "former favorite " St George restaurant are back in town as Mad Pita Express. We recently moved to St George and had been so sad they were gone. We used to travel from Salt Lake City to St George just to eat at their previous restaurant before they sold it. This restaurant is more casual with reasonable pricing which is fine with us! The food is still fabulously delicious and fresh, with nice portions. The salads are great, as are the gyros. We ALWAYS have the garlic potato dip...yum! We will be eating here at least once a week if not more often for sure!.

  • Fernando A.

Looked for a place to eat while traveling through St. George. Yelpers highly recommended this place, and for good reason. Their menu had more than enough to choose from. The servings were enough to have a snack later. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable. Go there for good Greek food and a quality meal.

  • Monica K.

Having moved to Southern Utah from the Salt Lake City area I was worried that would not be a Greek food restaurant. To my surprise there is the Mad Pita Express here in St. George. Not only is it here, it's fantastic. They have the best Gyros (Yee-ros) and their fries are to die for with Parmesan sprinkled on top. They also have Baklava which is delicious. My only complaint is that the Baklava is awfully small for the price.

  • Nina B.

Well it seems others that have been here didn't have the best experience, but I personally have had very good experiences both times I have visited and ate there. First off, the place is very clean, it has some cool pics on the wall of what I believe to be family of the owners, and lots of eclectic art. The girls behind the counter, and bussing the tables have always been very friendly and attentive (cute girls too! I think this is a family run place). The food came relatively quickly and was very well prepared, tasty and plentiful portions. Have had the gyros, souvlaki, falafel, baklava and their very yummy greek lemon/chicken/orzo soup (my fave). It is not easy to get a lot of ethnic diversity in food in southern Utah, so when a place opens that is actually good and fairly authentic, we try and support it. Give this place a try when you're craving something different.

  • Tim T.

I've stopped off here & dined-in/taken-out about a dozen times now. Each time, I get one or more falafel sandwiches. The quality has consistently been great. Often call-in my order for take-out, and have learned the hard way to add-on a couple minutes to the call-taker's estimate of when the food should be ready. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not they're busy inside -- if I'm told "You're order will be ready in 10 minutes," I've learned not to show up until about 15 minutes later. I think this has something to do with the fact that most of the food preparers are high-school girls who need to gossip while they work!! :) They're all very nice to deal with though, and make me wish I was a decade or so younger! The old photos on the wall are of the owners, John & his sister. He was surprised when I could tell that the little kid in the photo was him, about 50 years prior... Great food! I really have to respect people that are daring enough to open ethnic type restaurants here in rural SW Utah. I do wish the place offered saganaki (flaming cheese), but maybe the St George fire marshal prohibited it! If you're just passing thru the area on I-15, the place is not far off the freeway or hard to get to.

Surprisingly great little Mediterranean restaurant in St. George. We were way impressed. I had the spicy chicken gyro and have to say it's one of the best I've ever eaten. My wife and her family lived in and around Greece for a while and they were very impressed by the authentic flavors and seasonings of the Mediterranean. Definitely on our "must eat at" places in Southern Utah now...

  • Mary N.

Yum... Great takeout. Delightful salad dressing, smooth hummus, perfect balance of parsley and mint in the tabbouleh, buttery baklava with light vanilla flavor!!! Get to go, but wander around the cute restaurant that is decorated with family photos, art to buy, lots of plants. My missing star? Too much use of styrofoam, but can understand from a business perspective. Support these great little ships

  • L. O.

My order from this restaurant was alright.. a bit disappointing. All the ingredients were there and were all fresh, it had potential.. but in the end it was just alright... Pita bread, rice, gyros, hummus... all were on the bland side.. Not much else to say.

  • Sheldor U.

How can anyone not give this place a 5 star review? I am mental for pitas. I have had pitas and hummus throughout the country and major cities, and after having a place where they knew my usual by heart needless to say I didn't expect to find pitas in Utah. I seen this place driving by and demanded me and my troupe go eat lunch there. OH it is fantastic! I don't eat meat, but my sister does. She got a chicken pita and I got the garden veggie with many modifications (I hate tzaiki immensely). We both agreed this was the best food ever...and my sister is not one who likes the non Burger King lineup of foods. Add to it my niece (who I call the fry bandit) is obsessed with their fries (as am I! Parmesan and garlic? OH GOD!) Add to it this place rarely has many kids, and even sales tees making fun of typical Utah institutions. I vowed my eternal business to them right there and then. They put up with my complicated order, though I do get annoyed when I ask for extra hummus and they give me more chickpeas (yea same deal but I want hummus-ed chickpeas...not chickpeas naked!!!) Frankly I still can't complain much. They don't have much in the way of dessert but one day I got their custard vanilla bread pudding thing...OMG! I can't rave enough about this place. It is fantastic. And open late (another Utah rarity!)

Excellent food, fast friendly service. we will go again next time we're passing through. The Gyro was so good, everything was prefect on it, my wife had the Mediterranean salad w/Gyro meat and liked it very much.

Yummy!! Will eat here again. Don't miss the fiery chicken pita. Fish is great too and the fries were super good.

While driving from Las Vegas to Zion National Park, my husband and I were hungry for lunch. I'm vegan and my husband is vegetarian. We found Mad Pita Express and were pleasantly surprised with the food. I had the veggie garden pita minus feta and the cucumber yogurt sauce which was delicious. My husband had the falafel and it was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of seasoning and spice. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it others. However I wish they wouldn't use styrofoam cups for beverages.

My wife and I went here while staying with our in-laws in St. George. This place is a great place that you may not have heard of if you're traveling through or to St. George. My wife ordered the garden veggie pita without the feta and I ordered the falafal pita. Both orders were absolutely huge! You had to eat your food with a fork rather than a pita style meal, which was fine by us. Another big bonus point was that the cashier/waitress asked us if we were vegan when we both ordered our stuff. This was awesome as they put parmesan cheese on the fries if you don't state you're vegan, as well as provide you a chipotle sauce instead of ketchup. All in all, this was a great place to go, and we'll definitely be coming back. The only downfall, they use styrofoam cups for some stupid reason. This could easily be eliminated, but what are you going to do?

  • William W.

The fries are excellent. I usually get the fiery chicken pita with feta cheese. It's fresh and delicious. My wife will get the chicken kabob platter. It's plenty to share with our kids. I have sent food back and have learned to stick to the couple of things that I know they do well. I had the schwarma and it was awful, but they let me switch it for a fiery chicken. Get the fries, they are some of the best I've ever had.

Finally, a decent place to get decent Greek food in southern Utah. The only reason is doesn't get the full 5 stars is due to the the price (a little steep for what you get compared to other Greek greats in larger cities), the fries (seasoned is 'ok', but would like a choice of unseasoned, too), and the tzatziki sauce is a a bit bland. The gyros are pretty good, though, and they are what keep me going back. (Check out Greek Souvlaki in SLC for the best at super prices...but for southern Utah, there isn't better than Mad Pita)

  • Cara L.

3 of us had the 'Israeli falafel", and we all thought it was delicious! Very flavorful & fresh. Also had the seasoned fries (yummy!) and the hummus with pitas. I definitely give this place 5 stars! Great restaurant option for vegetarians!

Super cheap eats in St. George. Everything was very fresh. The best Greek Salad I have ever tasted. The baklava was flavored with rose water and was light, with lots of pistachios and a walnut filling, and not overly sticky or sweet. The soup was a Greek creamy chicken/lemon soup and the appetizer portion was 16 ounces. The restaurant is decorated with a timeline of the world, beautiful plants, family portraits from the old country, stained glass panels made by the owner, and beautiful glass pieces by another artist. We will definitely be back! I never write reviews but this restaurant is a real gem!

  • Gisselle S.

The lamb gyros are good. I also got a chicken kabob served with rice pilaf. I would have preferred kous kous and a cucumber salad with my chicken kabob. The salads were really big, and enough salad for 2 to share. Everything tasted fresh and well made. They aren't open on Sunday. The cupcake place next store was super good!

  • Felix B.

Love this place. The quality of their ingredients is phenomenal. The meat is tasty and tender, and their veggies are fresh and crisp. They have good portions, and the prices are reasonable. The menu is diverse enough that there is something for everybody. I recommend the beef kabob pita.

  • Merrie P.

We are in town on vacation and have found it difficult to find healthy food for lunch. The hubs had a falafel pita and I got the veggie pita. Both were outstanding - fresh ingredients, good size portions and a clean environment.

  • J R.

Excellent!

Great place! Perfect if you're looking for a quick healthy lunch. I got a side Greek salad and the double meat gyro. So good and fresh. You can tell everything is made on site using fresh ingredients. The baklava is amazing! Wish there was one in Ohio.

My husband and I were passing by and found this as a quick stop to eat. Let me just say as we drive back we wouldn't mind coming back! The orange salad was awesome.

The Mediterranean fries were amazing. The Chicken breast platter was alright. The rice and hummus didn't have enough flavor. It needs more seasoning or garlic.

    (2)

    (3)
  • Holly N.

This place is pretty good. It was its days where its really good and others where its meh, with the limited greek food around this is one of the best.

  • Amber S.

  • Kimbo B.

Yum! Fast, cheap and delicious. Gyros with feta were fantastic. Got the rice bowl with fiery chicken which was nice but maybe should have ordered something else - too much rice. Quick and healthier than other fast food chains around.

    (3)

    (4)

  • Mandy A.

OH! Best. Fries. Ever....

George!
